Individual pages mentioned multiple opposing services which created an information loop that confused users
Lack of basic design principles (hierarchy, balance and proportion in particular) refused user comprehension
Users arrived at site for specific service but were not able to clearly identify supporting resources available for purchase - preventing sales prematurely
Limited Mobile Functionality
Majority of marketing took place via social media, driving users from mobile devices yet the website was not responsive
Users flowed from social media to their website for more information ultimately leading users back to social media to book services - users desired a simpler flow

Working with small businesses is challenging & empowering. I love seeing visions come to life and business owners radiate when their product is finalized. The power of design has the rare ability to gift confidence externally.
Through this process I learned the importance of clear and concise design. This client directed users to their site for very specific tasks, the opportunity lay in capturing their attention once on the site & converting customers to be more holistic through interaction design. Being a photographer, I also realized the importance of quality visuals throughout a site to ensure reputability and aesthetic. We obviously have full faith in the power of aesthetics around here :)
